JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for overall operations with ocean freight as the main product ; To be responsible for the operational results and administration of all containers services and network connections.
- Responsible for planning, building the team and give proper training and task assignment to team members.
- To monitor performance, analyze profits margins of RFQ of each service contract.
- To check profit and loss (PNL) development of ocean products monthly.
- Responsible for the quantity and quality, good performance in billing and job costing in ocean operations.
- Responsible for the monthly performance data preparation and review.
- To participate in meetings with the marketing / sales team for major trade lanes in cooperation with others company subsidiaries in the area/regional.
- Work together with the sales team for customer relationship management and implementation of new service – customer implementation (non-complex).
- Work closely with partners overseas to define necessary products to achieve the targets budgeted.
- Vendor contract and performance review & work in accordance with the compliance rules and policies.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant international freight forwarding experience; Minimum 5 years in supervisory position ; Cargo-Wise experience is an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point) ; Knowledge of procedures for international and domestic freight, trucking and warehouse services ; Dangerous goods awareness
- Candidate must be fluent in English
- Applicant should be based in the UAE
